Jermaine Dupri Mauldin was born on September 23, 1972, to Tina Mosley and Michael Mauldin. They were mentored and given advice by the show’s guests who included famous rappers like Ludacris, usher, and Silent. These rappers imparted useful advice to the competitors how to survive in the industry.
