Julian Fernando Casablancas is an American singer, songwriter, and producer. He is best known as the lead vocalist for the rock band “The Strokes” and for his solo album “Phazes for the Young”. Julian Fernando Casablancas was born on August 23, 1978, at New York City, New York, United States.
His parents are businessman John Casablancas and former Denmark beauty queen, Jeanette Christiansen. His parents got divorced when he was eight years old and his mother he remarried a painter, Sam Adoquei. Sam Adoquei influenced his taste in music. John Casablancas died in July 2013. He attended the Lycee Francais de New York and he was later enrolled in Institut Le Rosey, a boarding school in Switzerland.
