Hailing from Los Angeles, California, Christopher Judge was inclined towards acting from a very early age and was part of the drama club in High School. Interested in sports, Judge played the All-LA City football league at Carson High School until his departure from Carson in 1982. He continued with his sporting career in college from 1982-1985 after securing a scholarship from the University of Oregon. Initially, in Oregon, he considered taking up pre-med and later, shifted first to psychology and later to telecommunications and film. Judge later acquired the opportunity to host a radio show in Oregon through a contest where he performed a five-minute dialogue. After the contest, he hired an agent and moved to Los Angeles to finally pursue a career in acting and in 1989, where he was accepted in the Howard Fine Studio for a film course.
Christopher Judge was married to Margaret Judge from 1995-2011 and later, married model-actor Gianna Patton in 2011. Judge has four children: Christopher Jordan Judge, Catrina Jasmine Judge, Cameron Judge, and Chloe Jolie Judge. He is an avid golfer and is involved with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada.
His early roles were mostly associated with the Stargate SG-1’s actor, Richard Dean Anderson, playing short roles in MacGyver (1985), Neon Rider (1989), Cadence (1990), Bird On a Wire (1990), and future Stargate SG-1’s director (Peter DeLuise) TV series 21 Jump Street (1987), The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (1990) and House Party 2 (1991). Judge had a permanent role on the TV show Sirens from 1993 to 1995 before receiving his big break in the critically acclaimed TV show, Stargate SG-1. The story behind Judge landing the audition is a rather interesting one. When he overheard his friend’s roommate rehearsing for an audition, Judge sneakily took a peek at the notes prepared for the audition. It was then that he insisted his agent on getting him that audition or else, end up losing a client. He bagged the role with ease after competing against a set of other actors for the role. Some of Judge’s recent works include guest roles in shows like Andromeda, The Mentalist, Stargate Atlantis, and films like Snow Dogs and A Dog’s Breakfast. He recently appeared in the Christopher Nolan film, The Dark Knight Rises.
