Tijs Michiel Verwest popularly known as Tiësto is a DJ from Netherland who has been considered as the “Godfather of EDM”. Tijs Michiel Verwest aka Tiësto was born on 17 January 1969 in Breda, Netherlands. He was interested in music from a very young age and, at the age of 14, he started to work as a DJ in school parties. In 1985, he began to perform in various nightclubs in Netherlands and continued till 1994.
He was committed to the art of DJing and started his career as a DJ. In 1994, Tiesto used to appear as DJ Limited and Da Joker. He started recording on the sub-labels of Noculan Records called Coolman and Chemo. For them, he produced gabber and hardcore tracks. He was later discovered by Basic Beat Recordings’ general manager.
