Lindsey Buckingham is a musician, singer, songwriter and record producer. Buckingham is best known as lead vocalist and guitarist of the musical band ‘Fleetwood Mac’. Buckingham is also well famous for his finger-picking guitar style. In addition to his tenure with Fleetwood Mac, Buckingham has also successfully released six solo albums and three live albums. Buckingham’s major solo albums include ‘Law and Order’ (1981), ‘Out of the Cradle’ (1992) and ‘Seeds We Sow’ (2011). ‘Rolling Stone Magazine’ ranked him 100th in the list of ‘The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time’ in 2011.
Lindsey Adams Buckingham was born on October 3, 1949, in Palo Alto, California, US. He was born to parents Rutheda and Morris Buckingham. He was the youngest child of his parents. He had two older brothers named as Jeff and Greg. Buckingham comes from a family of competitive swimmers. Growing up in the town of Atherton, California, he began to take part in swimming events with his two older brothers.
To pursue his career in music Buckingham decided to drop out of athletics. His younger brother Greg continued with swimming and scored a silver medal at the ‘1968 Olympics’. Buckingham went to the ‘San Jose State University’ but did not graduate due to some reasons.
