33 years old Sohail Khan is a right arm medium-fast bowler from Pakistan. He was born on 6th march, 1984 and raised in Malakand, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Being inclined towards sports either it was cricket, swimming or kabaddi, he always draws his time out to keep his passion alive for cricket the most. Unfortunately, his father Syed Nawab Khan didn’t find it appreciating and always try to drag him out from his sports activities. He used to break his bats from which Sohail practice cricket. With the talent that he ensued, he had to struggle quite a lot in the initial days of his cricket career.
While playing kabaddi made him strong and fit, swimming made his muscles sturdy and powerful enough to increase the stamina. This all made him robust enough to play cricket. He used to pull cement loaded buckets by his hands to increase the stamina of his arms. But all his hard work become futile when his father got disappointed after knowing that his son wants to go in the fields of cricket.
After many arguments from his father about building his career in the game, he left his home with his cousin Umar Farooq Khan and reached Karachi to live with him in his house. Thus take his decision further of playing cricket. His younger brother Murad Khan is also a first class cricketer who later turned to become a model.
Sohail Khan is a product of Rashid Latif Cricket Academy. Watching him playing in one of the matches of the cricket club, Sohail managed enough to draw the attention of Latif towards him. Latif, being impressed by his way of playing, picked this fast bowler and admitted him to his academy. Then started the training sessions of Sohail under Latif’s guidance. He polished his talent to a great extent that he displayed well in the domestic cricket and later in the international games as well.
