Kevin Peter Pietersen was born on the 27th of June in 1980. He was born in Pietermaritzburg, Natal Province, South Africa but played International Cricket for the England National Side. He made his first class debut for Natal but moved to England in 2000. Since his mother was an English woman, he was eligible to play cricket for the English side after he played 4 years of county club cricket with Nottinghamshire.
He made his debut for the English national side in 2004 when he played against Zimbabwe. One year later, he made his debut for the English Test side in the famous Ashes Test Series against Australia. He retired from playing International Cricket for the English side after a dispute with the England Cricket Board in 2012 while he was still in the prime of his career.
Later on he retracted his retirement but his relation with English players and the England Cricket Board got worse and has not represented England after the 2013-14 Ashes Test Series. After that period Kevin Pietersen fondly known as KP among his fans was told by the England Cricket Board that he is no longer considered for selection in to the National team. He is one of those gifted talents and his batting has received worldwide recognition which is evident from his popularity across the world and the fact that he represents T20 clubs across the globe.
