Mohammad Imran Tahir is a very diligent south African player, born on 27th march,1979 in Lahore (Pakistan). Though a Pakistani he plays for South Africa. At the age of 14. he was a salesman and works in a small shop. After playing for trials under 19’s the queue of opportunities broke for him. Initially, he played for Pakistan under 19’s team but not able to get a place in national team. He flew to England and played cricket there for some time and then settled in South Africa. Struggling in the starting time for about 5 years he played domestic cricket in Africa. In 2011 he got the citizenship of South Africa.

He showed his skills in February 2011 where he gets 4 wickets. He was the highest wicket-taker in the year 214 T20 world cup (approx 12 wickets). His father ‘Ramzan Tahir’ and mother ‘Athiya Tahir’ died very early. Tahir left Pakistan when he was 19 years old for playing in country cricket.

2009- in August 2009 Tahir made the highest score (77 not out) in his career. It was against Somerset which is one of the best first class country clubs in Wales and England.

2011- He played against west indies in February 2011 at Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in New Delhi. He took 4 wickets in 10 overs.

2014- Tahir at ICC world Twenty20 in 2014 bowled excellent figures of 4-21 against Netherlands where he was awarded as a man of the match.

In this tournament, he was the highest wicket-taker of south Africa.

2015- in ICC world cup final match between South Africa and Sri Lanka he played outstanding and get south Africa to have the first world cup and became the man of the match (4-26).
His name was written in ODI team by ICC in 2015.

2016- Mohammad become the first bowler to take 7 wickets in ODI

He came in the list for fastest African to reach 199 ODI wickets in 58 matches which was very praiseful.
