His full name is Brandon Cole Bam Margera. His mother is April Margera and his father is Phil Margera. His elder brother is Jess Margera and Vincent Margera is his uncle. He used to run into walls and for that reason; his grandfather gave him the nickname of Bam.

At first, Margera got engaged with a divorced single mother Jenn Rivell but they split in 2005 and Margera filed for protection from abuse against Rivell. Later, in 2006 he got engaged to his childhood friend Melissa Missy Rothstein and they got hitched in February 2007 and their wedding chronicled on the series of MTV titled Bam’s Unholy Union.
