Caryn Elaine Johnson popularly referred as Whoopi Goldberg was born on November 13, 1955, in Manhattan, New York City. She was born to parents Emma Johnson and Robert James Johnson, Jr. Her father was a clergyman and her mother worked as a teacher and nurse. She also had a brother named Clyde who died in 2015 of a brain aneurysm. As a child, she attended the St Columba’s which was a local Catholic School.
